District Overview
Cobb County School District is driving change by building capacity in its educators and strengthening ties to community; identifying personal pathways to student success; and opening access and innovation to all learners. CCSD is currently implementing a district strategy which emphasizes “One Team, One Goal, Student Success.”
Within CCSD’s Technology Services division, the Instructional Technology Team is comprised of exceptional educators called Technology Training/Integration Specialists (TTIS). This team is charged with building a network of learning collaborators (teachers, students, coaches, campus leaders, etc.) to share and spread sound pedagogical practices that leverage the transformative use of technology. The team needed to define how the TTIS (a relatively newer role in the district) could contribute to the evolving vision of the district, demonstrate the impact of their coaching, and develop and grow their competence as coaches. A Dell EMC education strategist recognized the potential to welcome ALP into the established partnership with Cobb County’s Technology Services division in the summer of 2017. The foundation for this work is well established, with CCSD, Cobb County and ALP working actively toward these outcomes.
